The Curious Morning

The morning sun streamed softly through the living room window, casting a golden glow on everything it touched. Little Alex stood near the edge of the couch, wrapped in the cozy warmth of his cream sweater, the one with the fluffy bear and the bold red Guess stitched across the front. His wild, chocolate curls framed his face like a halo, catching the light in playful spirals.

Today was just another quiet day at home, but to Alex, every corner of the house was an adventure waiting to happen. His bright blue eyes scanned the room with curiosity, lingering on shadows, sparkles, and anything that moved. He had just discovered how his tiny fingers could tug at cabinet handles and how his giggle could fill the room like music.

In this moment—captured just as he looked up, half in awe and half in wonder—Alex was completely present. The world was big, the floor was cold, and the air smelled faintly of breakfast. Behind him, toys waited to be explored, and in front of him, someone he loved was holding a camera, smiling.

It was a fleeting second, but one that told a whole story: of innocence, curiosity, and the quiet magic of early childhood.
